Valli Little - Love to Cook

Reknown chef and Editor of delicious magazine Valli Little chose Harvest Launceston to launch the latest book from the delicious. kitchens Love to Cook.

Valli and her team whipped up a never ending supply of the oatmeal hotcakes featured on the cover and then, after a forage around the market, Valli hosted a cooking demonstration of one of the recipes from Love to Cook featuring the local ingredients found at the market.

Love to Cook is available at ABC Shops, all good book stores or online.

Elgaar Farm

Tasmanian Natural Garlic

If you need some recipe ideas, the is one on the TNG Facebook page or a quick google will get you on  your way. Green Spring Garlic is the perfect antidote while we wait for the new garlic season just around the corner in December!

Harvest Launceston

Winner of the 2013 ABC Delicious award for Outstanding Farmers Market, Harvest Launceston is a beacon for building community and supporting local farmers.

Harvest Launceston has only been up and running and 18 months but already they have over 2000 visitors each week. Which isn't surprising when you consider the quality of the produce available (all chosen with a very high level of governance), the community atmosphere and the long tables that are just perfect for sitting down at with a freshly made coffee and a snack.

Harvest is on every Saturday morning from 8.30 - 12.30 at the Cimitiere Car Park in Launceston or you can check out their website. Join them this week for Christmas in July, or any week for local, seasonal food.
